Frequently Asked Questions
What is the GayHankies.com Affiliate Program?
Our Affiliate Program is a way for you to earn money by helping us grow. You can do this if you have a web site, including personal web sites, or if you have an email group (e.g. Yahoo or MSN Groups). All you have to do is display banners, links, or other information sharing our site and products with the people visit your site or read your emails. When they "click through" the link and make a purchase from GayHankies.com, you earn a commission. It's that simple!

What is the commission rate?
We offer a 10% commission on the merchandise customers buy when they "click through" your affiliate banners and links. The commission is not payable on shipping costs or sales tax.

Can I earn commissions on my own purchases?
Yes! And, we encourage you to do so. We think of this as a sort of "loyalty discount" for our affiliate members. You can earn commissions on your own purchases by clicking through your affiliate banners or links each time you shop at GayHankies.com.

How often do you pay the commission?
We will issue commission checks on a monthly basis for accrued commissions over $100 or on a quarterly basis for accrued commissions over $25. If your accrued commission is under $100, we will accumulate your commission until the next month or quarter. Quarterly commission amounts below $25 are accumulated until the threshold is reached. Accrued commissions less than $25 are paid following the end of each calendar year.

How do I get the banners and links?
After you login to your Affiliate Account, click on the 'Affiliate Banners' link for instructions. It is important that you exactly follow the instructions when building the links and banners so that you will get proper credit for commissions.

Why do you ask for my TAX I.D. Number or Social Security Number?
We need this information to comply with IRS (Internal Revenue Service) requirements regarding commission payments. In some cases, the IRS requires commissions to be reported on Form 1099-MISC. We maintain strict privacy standards and we will not release this information to any other party.
