What’s In That Jungle Juice?

I had an exchange of emails recently with a customer who noticed that the label on his bottles of Jungle Juice Platinum said that the contents included Isobutyl Nitrite. In the past, I’ve sold other bottles of the same product which were labeled as containing Amil Nitrite. In this case, he wanted the Amyl, and did not want the Isobutyl.

I pointed him to my Aroma, Video Head Cleaner, & Leather Stripper Info page, where I’ve tried to explain some of the oddities I’ve found with this product. Over the last few years, I’ve received Jungle Juice and Jungle Juice Platinum from my suppliers with at least three different versions of the labels, each with different ingredients. I’ve come to conclude that in some cases, there may have been some counterfeit bottles which passed themselves off as Amyl. As we all know, this chemical is not very easy to get in the United States these days.

I’m also aware that one of my past suppliers had been selling some counterfeit products, and I’m no longer using them for those brands. I’ve since made some changes in distributors, and nearly all of the poppers I sell now come from a warehouse that handles genuine “PWD” brands and other products, and I have no doubt that they are legitimate. There are a few odd brands that I get from different suppliers, but I trust — and I think you can trust — that the best selling brands are exactly what they say they are.

This coming month I’ll be working to update the “info” page I mentioned above so that it will include all the brands that I carry now. I’m also planning to work on setting up a “product review” section of the site that will be easier to link that I have now on each product page. When that’s up and running, I hope you will be able to turn to the “wisdom and experience” of other customers to help you decide what to buy.

Beyond that, how can you really know what’s the “best” brand? The only answer, really, is to try them and see what’s “best for you.”
