This week saw the official start of summer, according to the calendar, and this weekend is the hottest weekend of Gay Pride all over the country! We’re celebrating by giving you $10 off if you spend $50 or more (click for coupon details). But honestly, once you place you’re order, don’t stay home at your computer — go out and get happy and proud!

Here’s a list of some of the cities celebrating this weekend, including links to their web sites:

My partner and I will be watching the parade in Houston — not working, just having fun — and then heading over to the Ripcord to see how the festivities continue. Wherever you are, and whoever you’re with, Happy Pride!

Pride Season In Full Swing

I’m heading of out town today. Before I go, here’s a quick note to remind you to celebrate Pride this month, wherever you are. If you are in a big city or town or can travel, check out Interpride for a celebration near you or your travel destination. Take a look at Interpride anyhow, and also read about the violent response to the small Pride celebration in Moscow this year. If you’re in the US, be grateful — in spite of all our political challenges — that we have our constitutionally-guaranteed Freedom of Assembly. We can, and should, be out and proud in public, and proud that we can do that, too.

I’m heading to San Antonio, which has it’s own Pride celebration this weekend. I’m actually there to check up and look in on my elderly parents, so I don’t know how much time I’ll have for partying. With the Spurs on the edge of taking the NBA Championship again and the gays coming out on HemisFair Plaza, it’s gonna be a great fiesta in the Alamo City. Y’all come, if you can.
